I wanted to share some detailed images for a commission that will be living soon at a health care facility. I will share the installed images soon. This was inspired by the network of employees as the bricks and mortar of the business. The cellular vine structure is the fluidity of the employees to focus on the ebb and flow as they are also caregivers.
Enjoy-

Here is what I have been working on in the Glass Studio as of late. This is a wall mounted sculpture titled "Transpire Memphis" Measuring 30"x16"x1". It was shipped out yesterday and I am awaiting it's safe arrival in Memphis. I am always a bundle of nerves until the work is home safe and sound.
I have a video that I would like to share with you today. Elizabeth Gilbert (Eat, Pray, Love) talking about creativity, and the possibility of re-inventing out perception of it. It's Funny, and bone-true, just like her book. And it's worth watching if only for the description of the poem and the poet.... you'll see. It took my breath away.
I have been investigating the ideas of creativity and the source of where it comes from. For me it has a real sweeping feeling to me. I refer to my creativity as the "board of directors", I of course am the head of the table. This way of thinking started when I was in art school and feeling I needed that "Space" to move through my ideas and creative life. This video explains some of what we as artists feel when we have that moment of clarity.
I wanted to share what I have been working on in the glass factory. New work for the Utah Arts Council Mountain West Arts Conference to be held on May 2nd. I was asked to make 10 sculpture pieces for center pieces that will be for sale durring the conference.
Enjoy your Friday.
