Introduction to Glass Fusing and Slumping

Learn the fundamentals of fusing glass in this hands-on class. We begin with exercises in glass cutting, then, using your newfound skills, we will design and create two fused and slumped plates and a sun catcher. Topics include design basics, straight and curved cuts, use of tools, studio safety, and technique. Discussions and demonstrations will cover the basics of kiln forming, from types of glass and mold materials to kilns and firing schedules. Special fee covers all equipment and materials. Class is limited to 8.
